Our Dentists
Meet Dr. Martin White, Dr. Tom O’Leary, Dr. Neil Welborne, and Dr. Shannon White. They are part of a Charlotte tradition of dental comfort and care. All four doctors are graduates of the North Carolina School of Dentistry. Each has completed post graduate continuing education courses in cosmetic dentistry, including porcelain veneers, tooth whitening, and dental implants, as well as studies in periodontal care, oral surgery, and endodontics. Dr. Neil Welborne, Dr. Martin White, Dr. Shannon White, and Dr. Tom O’Leary are also all members of the American Dental Association, North Carolina State Dental Association, and local dental societies.
Dr. Martin White
Dr. Martin White completed his undergraduate studies at Davidson College and received his dental degree from the UNC Chapel Hill Dental School. He takes ongoing continuing education courses to keep abreast of the many advances in modern dentistry. Dr. Martin White’s training includes certification in Eternal Conscious Sedation and the Hands On Course for Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry. He has also studied occlusion at the Dawson Center with Dr. Pete Dawson. Dr. White is a member of the American Dental Society, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Irredell Dental Society.
Dr. Tom O’Leary
Originally from North East, Pennsylvania, Dr. Tom O’Leary graduated from the University of Notre Dame and then earned his dental degree from the UNC Chapel Hill Dental School. He undertook one further year of study to complete an Anesthesiology Residency at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine and is certified to provide I.V. sedation dentistry. Dr. Tom O’Leary is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Neil Welborne
Dr. Neil Welborne is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate studies at North Carolina State before earning his dental degree from the UNC Chapel Hill Dental School. Since that time, he has continued to upgrade his dental skills through regular continuing education courses, including courses on cosmetic dentistry, prosthetics, minor orthodontics, and treating patients with implants. Dr. Neil Welborne is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Shannon White
Dr. Shannon White earned both her undergraduate and her dental degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her dental studies, she distinguished herself by earning the Student Achievement Award in Endodontics. Dr. Shannon White takes ongoing continuing education courses in all aspects of general dentistry with a concentration in the field of endodontics, and she is certified in Eternal Conscious Sedation.
